The Sony Xperia 1 VII has appeared on Geekbench

Sony’s Xperia 1 VII is clearly on the horizon — especially since its predecessor launched in May 2024, and recent leaks have only added to the anticipation. Back in April, CAD renders and live certification photos of the device already surfaced, giving us a clear look at its design.

Now, a prototype of the Xperia 1 VII has also appeared on Geekbench, revealing key details like its chipset, RAM capacity, and Android version through the benchmark database.

It comes as no surprise that the Xperia 1 VII is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 — Sony has consistently used Qualcomm’s flagship chipset in its high-end devices. Paired with 12GB of RAM, the phone is set to launch with Android 15 out of the box.

Beyond the specs revealed in Geekbench, earlier CAD-based renders suggest a design that’s nearly identical to its predecessor, highlighting Sony’s commitment to its distinctive aesthetic. The Xperia 1 VII is said to measure 161.9 x 74.5 x 8.5mm — slightly shorter, wider, and thicker than the Xperia 1 VI, though the differences are minimal. The display is expected to remain at 6.5 inches.
