The free-to-play event for Star Citizen is back
The annual free-fly event for Star Citizen is live again, giving players a chance to explore the game’s massive universe, test out dozens of ships and vehicles, and experience the sci-fi RPG without making any purchases. This year’s Invictus Launch Week event runs for 12 days, offering a rotating selection of spacecraft and land vehicles from various in-game manufacturers.
Every 48 hours, new companies and their products become available for testing, featuring everything from huge capital ships to mysterious alien crafts. A full schedule of which ships are available and when can be found online.
For newcomers or those needing a refresher, here’s how to join in:
- New players should spawn directly into Area18 .
- Returning players can quantum travel to Area18 on ArcCorp and land at Riker Memorial Spaceport .
- Follow the blue Invictus signs to the shuttle stop, ride to the Bevic Convention Center , and head to the rental kiosks to pick your ship for the day.
The Star Citizen Invictus Launch Week 2955 free event runs until May 27 , and all you need to play is a free account. More info is available on the official FAQ page.
