SpongeBob SquarePants Is Back on Apple Arcade with Fresh Gameplay Features

Apple Arcade, Apple’s subscription-based gaming service with no ads or in-app purchases, is bringing some underwater fun to its platform with a SpongeBob SquarePants-themed crossover event . This time, Bikini Bottom is making its way into two popular titles: Snake.io+ and Crossy Road Castle . Plus, the game SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit is getting a fresh update with an exciting new endless mode .

These events are part of Apple Arcade’s ongoing effort to keep players — especially families with kids — engaged with limited-time content . SpongeBob isn’t the first animated character to appear in Apple Arcade games; Bluey previously showed up in Fruit Ninja Classic+ , and Paddington made a guest appearance in Crayola Create and Play+

 

🐚 What’s New in Snake.io+ and Crossy Road Castle

In Snake.io+ , players can unlock skins of their favorite characters — SpongeBob, Patrick, Sandy, and Plankton — by completing in-game missions. This special event will run until August 25 , giving fans a limited window to collect all the themed items.

Meanwhile, Crossy Road Castle is hosting two SpongeBob-themed events :

  • “Krabby Patty Kollectathon” starts on July 21 , featuring 40 levels set in Bikini Bottom.
  • The second event, “Jellyfish Jam” , runs from August 4 to August 17 , where players can race as SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, or Sandy .

 

🍔 SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit Gets an Endless Mode

The game SpongeBob: Patty Pursuit is also getting a new update starting today , introducing a challenging endless mode . In this mode, levels become progressively harder, with no checkpoints or extra lives , making it a true test of skill. Players can compete on leaderboards to see who can last the longest.

All of these events are exclusive to Apple Arcade , and they’re only available for a limited time .

 

🐾 Other Crossovers Still Running

The SpongeBob events are joining other ongoing character crossovers already live on Apple Arcade:

  • Bluey is still available in Fruit Ninja Classic+ until September 19 , offering themed wands, powers, dojos, and hidden Easter eggs.
  • Paddington is featured in Crayola Create and Play+ until August 26 , where players can explore a world inspired by British culture.
