Premier subscriptions up 25%

Russian video hosting Rutube reached 78.3 million active users per month by the end of 2024, increasing its audience by 65%. Online cinema Premier also showed growth: the number of paying subscribers increased by almost 25%, to 6 million. This was reported by the CEO of Gazprom-Media Holding Alexander Zharov.

According to him, success is associated with the focus on creating popular content and implementing technologies. The holding developed its own solutions based on artificial intelligence for producing media products and optimizing processes. The Rutube library has expanded to 400 million videos, adding hundreds of thousands of new materials daily.

Zharov noted the multiple growth of the platform’s audience abroad – both in the near and far abroad. The popularity of the services stimulated the development of the advertising business, which the holding considers a promising area for further expansion.

The financial results of Gazprom’s media segment for 2024 showed revenue of 163.5 billion rubles with a loss of 247 million rubles. Data for the previous period was not disclosed.
