When losing weight, many people focus on cutting calories. However, it’s important to pay attention to what you eat and drink, too.

Here are some drinks and foods that make it difficult to lose weight.

Sweet drinks . These include soda and energy drinks. They contain a lot of sugar and calories.

Fast food . French fries, burgers, fried chicken contain a lot of calories, fat and salt. They also have few nutrients and give the body energy and a feeling of satiety. Often after eating fast food, therefore, there remains a feeling of hunger.

Candy . They are high in sugar, calories, refined flour and fat, but they do not provide the body with nutrients.

Fried foods . This includes chips, chicken nuggets, and French fries. They are associated with higher rates of weight gain and obesity.

Baked goods . Cookies, cakes, sweet breads are rich in calories, fat, sugar. They also usually contain a lot of fructose, which reduces the feeling of satiety and can increase hunger.

White bread and white pasta . Eating these foods can cause weight gain. This is because they are made from refined flour.

White rice . It has a high glycemic index, meaning it quickly raises blood sugar levels. Such foods can increase the likelihood of developing obesity and type 2 diabetes.

Ice cream . It contains a lot of fat and sugar. It has no fiber, but it does have some protein.

Pizza . It is often made with white flour. Pizza usually contains cheese, which is high in fat, and tomato sauce, which is high in added sugar. Pepperoni or pizza sausage contains a lot of saturated fat.

Processed meats : This includes beef jerky, pepperoni, and lunch meats.

Some fruit juices . Store-bought juices may contain very little fruit or a lot of sugar. In addition, juice, unlike whole fruits, does not contain fiber, meaning it is poorly satiating.

High-calorie coffee . These drinks contain a lot of sugar, fat and calories.

Alcoholic drinks . Most of these drinks contain a lot of calories and carbohydrates.

Foods high in added sugar . These include breakfast cereals, flavored yogurt, and store-bought granola. They’re low in fiber and protein, so they’re not filling.

Candied or dried fruits . They contain a lot of fructose, which is not satiating. It is better to choose fresh fruits.
