For the game
Nintendo has confirmed the price of Switch 2 Edition “upgrade packs” for two popular games: Super Mario Party Jamboree and Kirby and the Forgotten Land. The updates, which give owners of the original Nintendo Switch versions the upgraded Switch 2 versions, will cost $19.99 for each game. These upgrades not only include visual improvements, but also new content, such as the Jamboree TV mode for Mario Party and the new Star-Crossed World storyline for Kirby. But fans have still criticized the price.

Upgrade pack prices vary depending on how much content is added. For example, the updates for The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom are cheaper at $9.99 in the US or £7.99 in the UK.

In Europe, prices for Mario Party and Kirby reach €19.99, sparking discussions on the X platform, where users say the price is too high compared to Sony’s practice of charging $10 for similar updates.
