Microsoft has released the Windows 11 KB5058502 update
Microsoft has released a new Windows 11 23H2 Release Preview build (22631.5409 , KB5058502) to Windows Insiders, featuring several updates and improvements — especially around Copilot integration.
Key Highlights:
- A new Win + C shortcut now opens Copilot system-wide.
- Users can customize the Copilot key behavior via Settings > Personalization > Text Input .
- Push-to-Talk with Copilot is now available — simply hold Win + C (or the Copilot key) for two seconds to activate voice input.
- Enterprise users get an updated Copilot Chat experience for Windows and Microsoft 365.
Other notable additions include:
- A new FAQ section in Settings > System > About to help users quickly find answers about their PC and Windows setup.
- Taskbar customization enhancements for admins, allowing specific apps to be unpinable without repinning on policy refresh.
- Improvements to Widgets on Lock screen , including weather widget customization for EEA users.
- Minor updates to Share window , letting users crop, rotate, or apply filters before sharing images.
- Drag-and-drop support from File Explorer directly into the Share tray.
This update also includes various fixes:
- Resolves blue screen errors.
- Fixes issues with HoloLens camera saving.
- Addresses memory leaks in the Input Service.
- Updates COSA profiles for mobile operators.
- Fixes issues related to domain-connected devices and Windows Update service crashes.
Some features are being rolled out gradually, so not all users may see them immediately.
