Almost a year after the announcement
Almost a year after Microsoft first announced it, it has officially unveiled its new Windows Recall feature to the public. Available only on Copilot+ PCs running Windows 11, Recall silently takes screenshots of everything you do on your PC, saves them, and makes them searchable.

Due to serious privacy concerns, Microsoft delayed the launch of Recall for several months while it tweaked the feature to improve security. Recall is now optional, meaning users must turn it on manually, and can be removed entirely if they want. Testing has shown that Microsoft has also added improved content filtering to block sensitive information, though it’s still not perfect.
