And iPadOS 19 Could Get a Mac-Like Menu Bar

Apple is expected to unveil iOS 19 and iPadOS 19 at its WWDC event in June, and early rumors suggest that the updates could bring some of the biggest changes in years.

According to a new leak, iPadOS 19 will feature a Mac-style menu bar at the top of the screen when the iPad is connected to Apple’s Magic Keyboard. This will make the iPad feel more like a MacBook, especially when it’s used for work, the media reports. There will also be a new feature called Storage Manager 2.0 and improved multitasking tools that will automatically activate when the keyboard is connected.

Meanwhile, iOS 19 is rumored to add support for external displays to iPhones with USB-C ports. While this won’t turn your iPhone into a full desktop, it will allow you to use a second screen as a monitor or TV, with a design similar to Apple’s Stage Manager. There may be some limitations on resolution or the number of apps that can be viewed at once, though.
