Google Search’s AI Mode is now expanding to more users across the U.S
Google Search’s AI Mode, first introduced in March as an experimental chatbot-like search experience, is now widely available to all Google Labs users in the U.S. — no waitlist required. You can activate it directly through Google Labs.
Soon, a limited number of U.S. users will begin seeing the AI Mode tab directly in Search, without needing to enable it manually. This rollout will expand gradually over the coming weeks.
Additionally, new visual cards are being introduced in AI Mode over the next week. These include detailed place and product cards: restaurant, salon, and store listings will show reviews, ratings, and hours, while product cards will offer pricing, availability, shipping info, and local stock — all with just a tap.
A new left-side panel has also been added to AI Mode on desktop, allowing you to easily access your past searches. This feature lets you jump back to any previous topic, with each entry showing the information AI Mode already gathered for you. From there, you can continue the conversation or ask follow-up questions to dig deeper.
