Galaxy Z Fold 7 Will Become a Record-Thin Folding Smartphone

We are expecting details this summer.

According to the latest information, the new Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 7 could become the thinnest foldable smartphone in the world.

When folded, it is expected to be just 8.2mm thick — 0.7mm thinner than the current record holder, the Oppo Find N5. This would also mean a reduction of more than 30% in thickness compared to the Galaxy Z Fold 6, which measures 12.1mm when folded.

If the rumor is true, the Z Fold 7 will be in a unique position among its competitors. Previously, it was reported that the thickness of the new product will be 9.5 mm, but the new information suggests an even more ambitious result.

It is not yet known how Samsung will be able to achieve such a significant reduction in size without compromising the device’s internals. The Galaxy Z Fold 7 is expected to be announced in July.
