Asus storms the gaming scene with a 24-inch monitor packing a 610 Hz refresh rate and Super TN tech

ASUS aims to set a new speed standard with the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG , a 24.1-inch Full HD gaming monitor built around a Super TN panel. While its native refresh rate is 600 Hz, users can overclock it to reach an impressive 610 Hz — currently one of the highest in the market.

Though TN panels are known for their fast response times but often fall short in color accuracy and viewing angles compared to IPS or OLED, ASUS claims its enhanced Super TN technology improves brightness (up to 370 nits) and color reproduction, covering 90% of the DCI-P3 color gamut.

The ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG offers a 600 Hz base refresh rate, with support for overclocking up to 610 Hz

The ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG comes equipped with both AMD FreeSync Premium and NVIDIA G-Sync compatibility for smooth, tear-free gameplay. ASUS highlights a lightning-fast 0.1 ms response time and a clear focus on minimizing input lag.

To boost responsiveness in competitive gaming, the monitor features GameFast Technology , cutting input lag down to just 0.8 ms . It also includes ELMB 2 (Extreme Low Motion Blur) technology paired with a dual backlight system to significantly reduce motion blur.

Unlike many ROG-branded products known for bold aesthetics and RGB lighting, the ROG Strix Ace XG248QSG adopts a more understated look. It features an all-black design with no customizable RGB lighting — a detail that might appeal to gamers who prefer a clean, distraction-free setup.

The monitor offers a full range of adjustments, including height (0–160 mm), swivel (±45°), and tilt (+35° to -5°). Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one DisplayPort 1.4, a headphone jack, and a USB-C port — though the latter is limited to firmware updates only.

As of now, ASUS has not announced pricing or availability for the monitor.
